PROGRAM OVERVIEW

政治傳播學(xué)（Political Communication）是依托傳播學(xué)院新聞傳播學(xué)一級(jí)學(xué)科博士點(diǎn)設(shè)立的二級(jí)學(xué)科博士點(diǎn)。政治傳播學(xué)是對(duì)政治傳播現(xiàn)象的總結(jié)和政治傳播規(guī)律的探索和運(yùn)用，它包括政治傳播的結(jié)構(gòu)、行為、途徑、環(huán)境、形態(tài)等內(nèi)容，是政治學(xué)與新聞傳播學(xué)相結(jié)合的二級(jí)學(xué)科。

培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)：

1、為人文社會(huì)科學(xué)奠定理論基礎(chǔ)；

2、了解新聞和大眾傳播的知識(shí)圖譜；

3、用國(guó)際知識(shí)拓寬視野，從而提高學(xué)生進(jìn)行學(xué)術(shù)研究的創(chuàng)造性和創(chuàng)新能力；

4、培養(yǎng)學(xué)生成為世界一流的政治傳播學(xué)研究人員或?qū)I(yè)人士。

Political Communication is a second-level discipline based on the first-level discipline in Journalism and Communication in the School of Media and Communication. Political communication is a summary of the phenomenon of political communication and the exploration and application of the laws of political communication, which includes the structures, behaviors, ways, environments, and forms of political communication, and is a second-tier subject that combines political science and journalism and communication.

Training Objectives:

1. to lay theoretical foundations for the humanities and social sciences.

2. to understand the knowledge map of journalism and mass communication.

3. to broaden the horizons with international knowledge, thus enhancing the students' creativity and innovation in conducting academic research.

4. to train students to become world-class researchers or professionals in political communication.

Chen Wen is Executive Director of the Institute for Mega-City Governance, and a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Government of Shenzhen University.

He completed his postdoctoral research at the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau and was a Research Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. As a Chief Expert for a Key National Social Science Fund project, his research focuses on urban governance, urban politics, social governance, urban development and transformation, international metropolis governance, and comparative studies of world city clusters.

He serves on the Executive Council of the Chinese Political Science Association and the Chinese Society for Social Governance Studies. Previously, he was a core member of the key research area "Modernization of the National Governance System and Governance Capacity" at the National High-End Think Tank of the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau. He is also a Council Member of the Guangdong Provincial Administration Society, a Policy Advisory Expert for the Shenzhen Municipal Committee, and a Legislative Consultant for the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress.

His main research areas are clean governance and urban governance. Jingjing Zeng is a Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Government, Shenzhen University. She holds a Ph.D. jointly conferred by Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Florida State University, and serves as the Principal Investigator of a Major Project funded by the National Social Science Foundation of China. Professor Zeng is currently Director of the Center for Science and Technology Strategy and Policy Research at the Innovation and Talent Base jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology. She is also a Council Member of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy, and a Public Policy Expert for the Asian Development Bank.Her research interests include public policy and governance innovation, science and industrial policy, digital governance and transformation, as well as innovation, entrepreneurship, and regional development. She has led one National Social Science Fund Major Project, three National Natural Science Foundation projects, and over twenty national and provincial-level research projects. Her work has been published in over ninety SSCI/CSSCI journals, including Policy Sciences, Review of Policy Research, Public Administration and Development, Journal of Risk Research, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, and The Journal of Technology Transfer.Her team emphasizes interdisciplinary research, empirical methodologies, and practice-oriented training, welcoming graduate students passionate about policy innovation, science and technology governance, and industrial digitalization and intelligence.
