PROGRAM

Materials Science and Engineering

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This program meets the significant strategic needs of new materials industry, based in Shenzhen and radiating across the Greater Bay Area, cultivating high-level leading talents with innovative and engineering capabilities in the field of new materials. The program is divided into several specializations: New Energy Materials focuses on the national new energy industry's development needs, supported by platforms such as the Guangdong New Energy Materials Service Safety Key Laboratory, concentrating on the research and development and service safety of key materials like hydrogen energy and batteries. Polymer Materials, in response to national and Shenzhen Special Zone strategic development needs, concentrates on the development and application of new functional polymers, including polymer carbon fibers, biomedical polymers, and smart polymers. Optoelectronic Materials address key challenges in the optoelectronic industry, focusing on the research and application of new OLED materials, organic photovoltaic materials, optoelectronic sensing materials, and aggregation-induced emission materials. Electronic Information Materials cater to major demands of the electronic information industry, conducting research on information storage materials and devices, gallium nitride power chips, and more, with support from national key laboratories. Smart Materials bring together the development of advanced organic/inorganic smart materials and their applications in fields such as fluorescence detection, optical therapy, inkjet printing, and photoresists. Doctoral students are trained under a mentorship system, combining individual mentorship with collective guidance from a mentor group.

Courses related to new energy materials and devices, optoelectronic information materials, functional polymer materials, solid-state physics, etc.


CAREER PROSPECTS

In recent years, most of our graduates have taken root in Shenzhen after graduation, working for well-known companies both domestically and internationally, such as Huawei, SMIC, BYD, ZTE Communications, TCL Technology Group, and others.

本學(xué)位點(diǎn)面向國(guó)家新材料產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展的重大戰(zhàn)略需求,立足深圳、輻射大灣區(qū),在新材料領(lǐng)域具有創(chuàng)新能力和工程能力的高層次領(lǐng)軍人才。專(zhuān)業(yè)分為多個(gè)領(lǐng)域:新能源材料圍繞國(guó)家新能源產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展需求,在廣東新能源材料服役安全重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室等平臺(tái)的支撐下,聚焦氫能、電池等關(guān)鍵材料的研發(fā)與服役安全研究。高分子材料圍繞國(guó)家和深圳特區(qū)戰(zhàn)略發(fā)展需求,聚焦新型功能高分子的開(kāi)發(fā)與應(yīng)用研究,包括:高分子碳纖維、生物醫(yī)用高分子、智能高分子等。光電材料面向光電產(chǎn)業(yè)關(guān)鍵難題,聚焦新型OLED材料、有機(jī)光伏材料、光電傳感材料、聚集誘導(dǎo)發(fā)光材料等的研發(fā)與應(yīng)用研究。電子信息材料面向電子信息產(chǎn)業(yè)重大需求,在全國(guó)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室等平臺(tái)支持下,開(kāi)展信息存儲(chǔ)材料與器件、氮化鎵功率芯片等方面的研究。智能材料聚集先進(jìn)有機(jī)/無(wú)機(jī)智能材料的開(kāi)發(fā),及其在熒光檢測(cè)、光學(xué)治療、噴墨打印、光刻膠等領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用研究。博士生的培養(yǎng)實(shí)行導(dǎo)師負(fù)責(zé)制,由導(dǎo)師負(fù)責(zé)和指導(dǎo)小組集體指導(dǎo)相結(jié)合方式培養(yǎng)。

特聘教授,美國(guó)化工協(xié)會(huì)高級(jí)會(huì)員,曾擔(dān)任美國(guó)化學(xué)工程師協(xié)會(huì)納米顆粒組主席。1999年獲清華大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。在美國(guó)500強(qiáng)公司科研和管理崗位工作了20年,有統(tǒng)籌和管理跨國(guó)技術(shù)團(tuán)隊(duì)和科研項(xiàng)目的經(jīng)驗(yàn)。長(zhǎng)期從事顆粒技術(shù)研究進(jìn)行產(chǎn)品開(kāi)發(fā)和開(kāi)展工藝設(shè)計(jì),多次成功地把實(shí)驗(yàn)室的研究成果通過(guò)中試量產(chǎn)轉(zhuǎn)化成商業(yè)化產(chǎn)品。研究方向主要開(kāi)發(fā)不同特性的微納米顆粒材料,用于新能源電池、半導(dǎo)體、先進(jìn)高分子復(fù)合材料等領(lǐng)域。已發(fā)表論文40余篇,授權(quán)美國(guó)和國(guó)際發(fā)明專(zhuān)利4項(xiàng)。


英文簡(jiǎn)介

Distinguished Professor, Senior Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and former Chairman of the Nanoparticle Group of the AIChE. He received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 1999. He has 20 years of work experience in the Fortune 500 companies in R&D and management positions and has experience in coordinating and managing multinational technical teams and research projects. He has been engaged in particle technology research for product development and process design for a long time and has successfully transformed the research results of the laboratory into commercial products through pilot development many times. His research interests include the development of micro and nano particle materials with multiple functional properties, which are used in new energy batteries, semiconductors, advanced polymer composite materials and other fields. He has published more than 40 journal papers and authorized four American and international invention patents.

楊楚羅,深圳大學(xué)講席教授,博士生導(dǎo)師, 英國(guó)皇家化學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)士。1997年在武漢大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位,19993月至200210月先后在香港科技大學(xué)、美國(guó)新奧爾良大學(xué)、美國(guó)羅徹斯特大學(xué)從事博士后研究。2003年任武漢大學(xué)化學(xué)與分子科學(xué)學(xué)院教授,2019年任深圳大學(xué)特聘教授。主要研究方向?yàn)橛袡C(jī)高分子光電功能材料及器件研究,包括有機(jī)/高分子發(fā)光材料、有機(jī)/高分子半導(dǎo)體材料。

From 1999 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of New Orleans, and University of Rochester. From 2003 to 2018, he was a full professor at Department of Chemistry, Wuhan University. Since 2019, he has been a distinguished professor at College of Materials Science and Engineering, Shenzhen University. His research interests cover the synthesis, structure, property and device of organic/polymeric optoelectronic materials.

Mater.等業(yè)內(nèi)權(quán)威期刊發(fā)表SCI論文30余篇,主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金(青年+面上)、廣東省面上基金、深圳市重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目與企業(yè)項(xiàng)目等多項(xiàng)研究課題。入選廣東省特支計(jì)劃青年拔尖人才,深圳市海外高層次人才(B類(lèi))、深龍英才、廣東省博士博士后100名創(chuàng)新人物,榮獲2023年日內(nèi)瓦國(guó)際發(fā)明金獎(jiǎng)(3/5),擔(dān)任深圳市發(fā)改委科技咨詢(xún)專(zhuān)家,任《紡織高?;A(chǔ)科學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)》青年編委。

Dr. Wang Yuanfeng currently serves as Distinguished Researcher, Tenured Associate Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shenzhen University. His research focuses on the application and fundamental studies of biomimetic functional fibers and smart textiles. He has published over 30 SCI papers as first or corresponding author in prestigious journals including Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem., and Adv. Funct. Mater. He has led multiple research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth and General Programs), Guangdong Provincial General Fund, Shenzhen Key Projects, and corporate initiatives. He has been selected as a Young Elite Talent under Guangdong Province's Special Support Program, a Shenzhen Overseas High-Level Talent (Category B), a Shenzhen Dragon Talent, and one of Guangdong Province's Top 100 Innovative Doctoral and Postdoctoral Scholars. He received the 2023 Geneva International Invention Gold Medal (3/5). He serves as a science and technology consulting expert for the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission and as a young editorial board member for the Journal of Basic Science in Textile Universities.
