Sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Photographers Association and the Pulicity Department of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, the Sanmenxia Municipal People's Government and the Henan Provincial Federation of Literature and Art, the 12^thChina Photography Art Festival and the 2^ndSanmenxia White Swan and Wildlife International Photography Exhibition On November 18^th, it was grandly launched in Sanmenxia City, Henan Province. More than 20 insect ecological photography works by Professor Bai Xuguang from the College of Food Science and Technonlogy of our university were invited to participate in the exhibition.

The China Photographic Art Festival is the first, largest, most extensive and most influential photography festival sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Photographers Association. So far, it has been held for twelve sessions. The China Photography Art Festival has become a grand event for Chinese photographers to display works, exchange skills, and explore development.The most outstanding contemporary photographers are activein this important brand of Chinese photography art activities.

Professor Bai Xuguang is a member of the Henan Photographers Association and a member of the Henan Provincial Art Photography Society. In 2005, he began to create insect ecological photography and photographed more than 100,000 photos of insect ecology. Insect photography has won many awards such as the “First Prize” of the Natural Scenery category of the 10^thArt Photography Exhibition of Henan Province, the “First Prize” of the National Insect Photography Competition, and the “Special Award”of the First Insect and Flower Photography Competition of Henan Province.
