學校于2008年開始承辦發展中國家人力資源援外培訓工作，是河南省唯一一家國家援外培訓項目執行單位，是河南省對外援助培訓中心。
河南省對外援助培訓中心，依托學校在糧油食品領域的學科優勢和河南省糧食生產及武術文化的區域優勢，通過來華培訓、境外培訓和“線上+線下”等多種培訓方式，專門為境內外政府官員、管理人員、技術人員等提供糧農技術、少林武術、工程建設等方面的培訓服務工作。
