報告摘要(Abstract):The two-dimensional kagome lattice consisting of corner-sharing triangles possesses unique electronic structures characterized by flat bands, Dirac cones, and van Hove singularities, thereby providing a novel platform to investigate various topological and correlated phenomena. Recently, a new family of nonmagnetic layered kagome metals AV3Sb5(A = K, Rb, and Cs) has attracted enormous attention due to its intriguing electronic properties of nontrivial topological states, chiral charge density wave, and superconductivity. In this talk, I will present our first-principles density-functional theory studies for three different kinds of kagome systems: i.e., ferromagnetic Fe3Sn2, antiferromagnetic FeSn, and nonmagnetic CsV3Sb5. Our findings demonstrate the presence of a flatband ferromagnetism in Fe3Sn2arising from the highly degenerate and dispersionless manifold state of electrons and the symmetry-protected Dirac fermions in the antiferromagnetic FeSn. I also discuss the origin of the charge density wave, the superconducting pairing mechanism, and the pairing symmetry of superconductivity in CsV3Sb5.
報告人簡介:趙俊衡(Jun-Hyung Cho)教授現(xiàn)為韓國漢陽大學(xué)教授,1994年在浦項科技大學(xué)獲物理學(xué)博士學(xué)位。畢業(yè)后分別在德國馬普學(xué)會Frit-Haber研究所、美國再生能源國際實驗室、美國橡樹嶺國家實驗室、美國田納西大學(xué)、中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)等多個國際著名科研機構(gòu)從事研究工作。2013年受聘河南省特聘講座教授。趙俊衡教授曾獲漢陽大學(xué)突出貢獻教授獎,韓國納米突出貢獻研究獎,韓國光量子中心突出研究獎等。主要通過理論計算從事材料表面生長、金屬絕緣相變、高溫超導(dǎo)、拓撲半金屬等方面的研究工作,發(fā)表在國際一流物理期刊上有150余篇,其中在Physical Review Letters、J Am Chem Soc、Naon Letter等頂尖期刊上發(fā)表近30余篇。
